The federal gas tax has been constant for a couple of decades while inflation marches on and transportation infrastructure gets older every day.
So where else will additional transportation money come from? Taxing the rich? This one is a slam dunk. Call the tax increase a fee, use some of the proceeds to subsidize the trucking industry and toll lanes, and be done with it.
“Where’s my Roy Cohn?”
He’s the Attorney General of the United States, or rather the President’s Attorney General. No worries traditionalists, the change in norms is subject to revocation or modification when there’s a Dem in the White House.
I feel bad for Barr’s children and grandchildren (if he has any). Because for the rest of their lives they’ll have to live with the guilt that their father/grandfather intentionally failed to be an honest broker while handling one of the most sensitive investigations in American history. It truly is stunning. And it will be an embarrassment that reeks for decades to come.
My absolute delight at these leftist tears is only equaled by your sides realization that everything, EVERYTHING, you folks have been fed by your sources of news information the last 2 years, has been absolute and total caca.
Not that I expect any of you kool aid drinkers to heed any sane advice, but in defense of the news media writ large I will point out that 2 news outlets, the Wall Street Journal and, wait for it…. Fox News, have done yeomans work on this entire canard over the past 2 years. If you had been paying a lick of attention to either of theses outlets, you would have known 2 years ago how this book was gonna end.
NBC,CNN,ABC, NY Times, Wash Post, et al, not so much.
Oh, and not to pile on, but it’s gonna get worse for you guys. Just wait until the IG report on all this comes out. Don’t say you have not been warned.
Wow. “alpha male.” Wow. Good for you, boss.
Gonna go out on a pretty sturdy limb and guess that you haven’t read the 450+ report.
Maybe educate yourself before weighing in on leftist tears.
Wow. “alpha male.”, nostalgic for some DTM pettiness against an imagined “side”?
Trump and his son and his son-in-law colluded with the Russians. They did it brazenly and out in the open. Just because the collusion didn’t arise to the level where they could be criminally charged is no vindication. We’ve set the bar so low for Trump and his deranged behavior that I’m not certain the presidency can recover from it.
The destruction of America won’t happen at the hands of any foreign power. We’ve seen the enemy and the enemy is us.

The Ralston corruption knows no end. The problem in this one party state is that he won’t be held accountable. Conservative Republicans protect corruption within their ranks. See Perdue, Deal, Cagle, Trump, and now Ralston, for prima facie evidence of why we need a check and balance in Georgia. Unfortunately we’re left with the Democrats who have proven to be weak and feckless in the face of said corruption. Not a peep during this session and no signs of intelligent life as evidence mounts of the scale of corruption at the state level.
This is interesting:

“But in all seriousness: although Mueller’s report is oddly coy here, it’s saying that the U.S. President was informed just before his election that the Russians had compromising videotapes of him, and there’s no indication Trump didn’t believe this to be true.
That’s terrifying.”
Jessica Szilagyi, thank you for doing the work to make MR happen every thursday. MR has missed a couple of days recently. The work that you are doing to make this happen today is worthwhile and appreciated.
