Stacey Abrams Opts Out of 2020 Senate Run
Well, it’s the end of April, and Stacey Abrams has finally made a decision. No, not that she has to decided to accept the fact that she’s not Governor. No, former Leader Abrams has decided against a Senate bid in 2020.
So, with Ms. Abrams out of the Senate race (but not necessarily out of a presidential bid!), I’m sure Georgia Democrats will begin to join the race to challenge US Senator David Perdue.
Will this help or hurt the Democrats’ chances to flip Georgia? Discuss in the comments.

will the dems clear the field for the mayor of columbus or will it now be a free for all is the main question here, right? and if it is a free for all, who else would jump in barrow? (he’s running for a supreme court seat apparently) jason carter? riggs amico? ossoff?
By coincidence, this is the 27th anniversary of the Rodney King riots. On April 30, 1992, the turmoil spread to downtown Atlanta. Stacey Abrams was a student at Spelman, and was involved. A grocery store near the campus was looted. Here is a story about that day, and the role Stacey Abrams played. https://chamblee54.wordpress.com/2018/06/05/the-battle-of-fair-street-bottom/
I don’t think it will matter who runs for the Dems. The presidential election guarantees a huge turnout so a state candidate doesn’t need to create interest in any demographic segment – they will already be polarized and at the polls. Metro Atl population growing – rural still shrinking. And if the Republicans continue to push social legislation based on their conservative religious beliefs they won’t be able to reverse the ‘burbs from turning bright blue.
Lol! Well, you at least got one thing correct- it does not matter who the socialists nominate. Perdue will beat them. Abrams realizes this. I have to admit I am disappointed I won’t have a chance to vote against her.
