Governor Brian Kemp Continues To Build Administration
Now that the fun ride of the legislative session is over, Governor Brian Kemp can focus on continuing to assemble his executive branch team through appointments.
Governor Kemp appointed Lynne Riley to become Georgia’s first female treasurer. Riley previously served in the Georgia House of Representatives before being appointed by former Governor Nathan Deal to lead the state Department of Revenue as State Revenue Commissioner in 2015.
Governor Kemp appointed Henry County Tax Commissioner David Curry to lead the Georgia Department of Revenue. Commissioner Curry will take over from Commissioner Riley as she heads to the state treasury.

Lynne Riley is perfect for this new role. Elected service at the local (Fulton County Commission), State (Georgia House of Representatives), appointed (Revenue Commissioner), and now State Treasurer.
Having served with her, I know that she is smart, steady, experienced, professional and beyond reproach. Kudos to Governor Kemp for this excellent choice.
