Start popping that corn.
Sharon Barnes Sutton arrested by FBI.
Link to indictment.
So we now have a fatality to go with 80-100 Grady trips alone per month. Bird publishes a study stating that it doesn’t happen as much in cities with bike lanes but that didn’t keep them from distributing them all over a city that has never been very bike friendly. What’s wrong with this picture?
The industry will have to solve its problems. Too many localities are simply banning them from the streets for the industry to ignore this situation. I can’t figure out why they would adopt a business model that ensures the injury or death of a large percentage of their customers.
While this is just hitting the south, it has been a plague on the west coast for a while. There is no question that the industry will find a way to decrease the injury rate and keep these scooters from becoming the nuisance that they are, laying all over the sidewalks. If they don’t address this I’ll bet you that a TV lawyer will help them figure things out.
“One call, that’s all”

the discotheque story is super crazy, i’ve seen more than one date of death, more than one place of death and more than one name for the deceased…it’s almost like they tried to obscure/hide his death for a bit…which under the circumstances i guess i understand…also part of the night of my bachelor party was spent in this establishment so i guess i’m a little “sentimental?” about the place…
I saw the snake woman dance. I also paid $12 for a Budweiser.
The last I looked Fort Gordon still trained signal and mps. If city council wants to take away the chance for young trainees to drink and ogle nekkid wimmin under the same roof, then what does it say about their concern for the troops?
Also SIGINT and the NSA.
What is Abrams’ end game? She’ll never be more popular from an electoral point of view than now. She is the only Democrat that can possibly beat Perdue in two years. But she’s opting out. Why?
She doesn’t want to be in the Senate. It has become a place where good things go to die.
Who knows? As Gregs suggests, maybe the idea of sitting in the Senate is off-putting. Maybe she doesn’t think she could beat Perdue. Maybe she wants another whack at Kemp. Maybe she prefers to be king or queen maker.
I remember reading an interview where Mark Dayton described how much he hated his time in the Senate and how he felt incapable of actually accomplishing anything because of 1) lack of seniority and 2) the generally laconic pace of the Senate.
Governors actually do things. Senators just talk about them.
Adam Sandler’s tribute to Chris Farley should rank #1 on the SNL musical guest list.
The horse ain’t dead enough. The Guv’s gonna beat the evil[ution] all the way out of it. Fellow panderer Woods will assist.
