Ginny, if all it takes is a blog entry that makes unsupported assertions and cites proven cranks to shock you, then you must be shocked a lot. That story of manipulated temperature data isn’t new and isn’t any more true now than it was then.
It took me 30 seconds to find a general refutation that cites even some climate-change skeptics who agree the data manipulation story is bogus..

Could you explain how you think thousands of scientists and statisticians and administrators could engage in a conspiracy to routinely alter temperature data?
Who do you think is in charge of running the conspiracy?
When Jim Inhofe brought a snowball to the Senate floor to disprove climate-change, did you applaud?
How do you handle your belief that scientists routinely engage in fraud when you go to the doctor or get on a plane or log on to the net?
But The Donald said it was fake news! Why think for one’s self ?
Another instance in 2017 of Republican congressmen completely making stuff up:

By now the story has dropped off the front page but it’s worth noting that yesterday a third attention-whoring rep delayed passage of the disaster aid bill.
The latest to object is John Rose of Tennessee. He joins Reps. Massie and Amash in showing he doesn’t know the difference between obstructionism and principled conduct, or for that matter, his ass and a hole in the ground. Enjoy the ever-diminishing spotlight, Congressman.
Love the Wrangler, made in USA story. $99 a pair, not so much.
Are Americans ready to pay more for USA made goods and support sustainable, local businesses and living wages for our labor force?
NY Times recognizes the danger of fake news. About time.
