I haven’t slept through the night in seven weeks (but she’s 7.5 pounds of perfection and worth every bit of exhaustion), so y’all have a little mercy on the lateness of this post.

My dad had mandatory night shift on Friday night the first 3 months after we were born. He was a heavy sleeper who didn’t move in his sleep. So he would sleep out on the couch with us on his chest so we could wake him up before we woke up mom. Thus mom got at least one whole night of sleep a week.
