As Lawton mentioned in the morning reads this morning, Georgia will likely not be a part of Super Tuesday. Earlier this morning, WSB’s Aaron Diamant confirmed that Georgia will be conducting it’s Presidential Preference Primary on March 24, 2020.
BREAKING: Just confirmed. Date set for Georgia’s presidential primary: Tuesday, March 24, 2020. @wsbtv pic.twitter.com/Xh8GKNt1dK

The change in the date from early March to late March due more to the logistics of implementing new voting machines across Georgia.
Georgia is capturing the eye of most of the Democratic presidential hopefuls, and Georgia not being a part of the Super Tuesday crowd could make it a standout in a crowded Democratic field. According to Ballotpedia, Georgia is estimated to have the 12th largest delegation to the Democratic National Convention with a total of 120 delegates (comprising of 105 pledged delegates and 15 automatic delegates).
Will Georgia Democrats voting later in March help a Democratic candidate not named Joe Biden, or will it help solidify the current front runner’s support and nomination to challenge President Donald Trump in November 2020? Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments.
Update: Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger issued the following press release confirming the date:
The 2020 Presidential Preference Primary (PPP) will be held on Tuesday, March 24th.
