It’s a fallacy to place any significant stock in the fact that if our planet as we know it is wrecked by global warming later in the century, that it’s OK because we can colonized space.
“I have a message for all of you: the crime and violence that today afflicts our nation will soon – and I mean very soon – come to an end. Beginning on January 20th of 2017, safety will be restored.” An early on cult leader lie from DJT’s GOP nomination acceptance speech.
Trump repeatedly without hesitation slams Democrats about carnage in areas they represent. You can bet Trump won’t be slamming El Paso, Texas or Dayton, Ohio.

GA Democrat’s Campaign Manager Called ‘White Evangelicalism’ a ‘Perversion’ I swear the democratic party has lost it’s minds.
I could easily point to Jerry Fallwell Jr and his ongoing escapades with a Miami poolboy.
I could easily point to Erick “I’m working on a theology degree” Erickson firmly planting the “Episcopalians aren’t real Christians” flag. I could easily point to Joel Osteen having to be guilted into opening his megachurch up to Houston flood victims. But pointing and laughing at charlatans like Falwell, and Osteen and Reed and Hagee and Robertson and others is going for the low hanging fruit.
White evangelicals are enthusiastically supporting a President and an administration that is doing the following:
Actively trying to limit the number of refugees coming into the country and attempting to institute a ban on all refugees or immigration from countries based on religious bias towards Muslims.
Taking those separated children and parents and placing them in concentration camps without adequate access to hygiene, a situation the DHS inspector general has called a “ticking time bomb.”
Limiting access for individuals seeking asylum and delaying the asylum processing time for those fleeing violence and persecution.
Fomenting white supremacy and racial animus – whether it be telling women of color to “go back to their country” or praising neo-Nazis as “very fine people” – towards racial and religious minorities.
Actively attempting to take healthcare coverage away from millions of Americans through Medicaid cuts and ACA repeal efforts specifically designed to target the working poor.
Pursing a rule that would take free school lunch away from 50,000 poor children who need it.
Vetoing a bill that would have curtailed Trump’s ability to sell weapons to a Saudi government that brutally murdered a US based journalist and, last I checked, funded the 9/11 terrorists.
Pals around with and removes sanctions against a North Korean regime that actively murders Christians.
Shoot, there was a story this week of a Iraqi refugee who was rounded up by ICE and sent back to Iraq – a country where he had never lived, where he didn’t speak the language, and where he had no connections – he died in the streets over there because he was unable to get access to diabetes medication.
There was also reporting this week on how the Trump Administration denied DHS’s attempts to take stronger action to investigate and crack down on white nationalist terrorism.
The stranger who resides with you shall be to you as one of your citizens; you shall love him as yourself, for you were strangers in the land of Egypt; I am the Lord your God. – Leviticus 19:33-34
God shows no favor and takes no bribe, but upholds the cause of the orphan and the widow, and loves the non-citizen, providing food and clothing. You too must love the non-citizen, for you were non-citizens in the land of Egypt. – Deut. 10:16-19
You know, it’s kind of funny. Black evangelicals read the same Bible and are just as enthusiastic about their faith. Somehow, they’ve come down on the opposite side of their White counterparts.
When you spread out your hands, I will hide my eyes from you; even though you make many prayers, I will not listen; your hands are full of blood,” Isaiah 1:15
Trump’s sexual predatory grab-’em-by-the… and having extramarital affairs with two future wives should be enough.
She makes a good point though. Aren’t evangelicals having to abandon nearly everything they claimed they stood for in order to continue to support a political party?
I’ll give her the benefit of the doubt she was shortcutting white evangelical nationalists. I know that may be a hard concept to wrap the head around when the GOP standard is Trump saying one thing one day, and the exact opposite the next, is the normal.
Wonder if this could happen in Georgia? https://www.10tv.com/article/did-ohio-lawmakers-accidentally-legalize-marijuana-top-law-enforcers-say-yes-2019-aug
No harm in Trump retweeting that Epstein was part of the “Clinton body count”.
It’s not like someone drove from NC with an assault rifle to rescue the sexually abused children imprisoned by Hillary Clinton beneath a Washington pizza joint after Trump retweeted those promoting that theory.
Here’s a theory, more realistic that what Trump retweeted—and that’s a low bar, but that’s how the GOP rolls. Sycophant William Barr learned that Epstein was going to blab about Trump’s involvement in Epstein’s sex abuse ring before he and Trump fell out, and Barr set in motion things that resulted in Epstein’s death before he could talk.
A Vince Foster for the modern age.
What I don’t understand is this… if the Clintons are really bloodthirsty and conniving murderers willing to carry out sophisticated hit jobs on anyone that poses a threat to their rise to power, how in the world has Trump not conveniently “choked on some KFC chicken skin”?
