It is monday morning weekly reader time.
I’ll justify posting the funniest tweet of the weekend by noting that Georgia has two Republican Senators: “Trump could shoot someone in the Senate and still get acquitted 53-47. Unless he shot a Republican, then it would be 52-47.”
The attorneys who fight the death penalty won a round the other day. Keith Tharpe came close to being executed, but the sentence was not carried out. Instead, he died of cancer in prison. One wonders if justice was served in this case.
There are some other issues with this case that the virtue signalling media had a hissy fit about. These issues are discussed in the post.
