A Third GA State Senator Tests Positive For Covid-19
Joining Senators Brandon Beach and Kay Kirkpatrick, Senator Bruce Thompson has announced via Facebook that he has tested positive for the Covid-19 virus:
A week and a half ago, I came down with flu like symptoms. When the symptoms first started, I left the capitol immediately, reached out to my doctor, and went home to self-quarantine. Because of my symptoms, I skipped the legislative special session and remained away from the public. On Monday, my condition had worsened and I was admitted to the ER/ICU. Last night, I was released and returned home. I have now received confirmation that my Coronavirus test came back positive. While I am feeling much better, I plan to remain at home in self-quarantine for the immediate future.
Becky and I appreciate your prayers during all of this, and I hope you and your loved ones are staying safe during these uncertain and trying times. Thank you to the amazing healthcare workers at Northside Cherokee who provided first class service – they and thousands of others across the country are on the frontlines in this battle. I ask everyone to join me in doing your part to #FlattenTheCurve and #StayHome as we fight the spread of COVID-19.
As noted, Senator Thompson was hospitalized and is now recovering at home, as are Senators Beach and Kirkpatrick. All legislators and capitol staff have been advised to self-quarantine for two weeks as a precaution.

The Corps of Engineers general in this video is impressive. I felt better about the Corona situation just watching this no-nonsense briefing.
Coming forward doesn’t help only those that may have been around Thompson, but others that know him that perhaps don’t think hospitalization could happen to them.
