There’s been a steady feed of tweets identifying all kinds of issues at polling places in Atlanta. For me, long lines aren’t necessarily a problem. They can be mitigated but they’re not necessarily problematic. I also know we can’t just go back and forth with equipment and our voting system is probably another bad-luck casualty of Covid-19.
Former mayor Kasim Reed, who should know a thing or two about Atlanta’s election process is rounding up several non-line complaints.
When long lines are the result of literally every machine being down… That’s a problem.
I suppose Rep. Nguyen’s tweet provides some solace(?) that it’s not just Fulton County screwing up.
Then these are just….bizarre.
Of course the solutions are “simple”: move election day to a non-work day and more vote-by-mail.
