So rebellious Mayors. Could the Governor suspend or remove them from office? Revoke the cities charters? This could get interesting to watch.
Not sure why anyone would desire such reality show drama. Ain’t no one got time for that — incl. Gov. Kemp.
On “clean-up” day (following the issuance of the October 2019 term’s remaining opinions) SCOTUS granted cert on a petition from a Georgia case, Uzuegbunam v. Preczewski, coming from a “free speech” dispute beginning at Georgia Gwinnett College.
Issue: Whether a government’s post-filing change of an unconstitutional policy moots nominal-damages claims that vindicate the government’s past, completed violation of a plaintiff’s constitutional right.
