A few days ago, youtube suggested that I look at Going Shopping with RuPaul at Lenox Square in Atlanta in 1989. Soon, the algorerhythm was directing me to more videos about late eighties Atlanta. Today’s monday morning reader has a collection of these videos.
“Republicans called her videos ‘appalling’ and ‘disgusting.’ But they’re doing little to stop her.
Outside groups haven’t worked to squash Marjorie Taylor Greene’s controversial candidacy, and House Minority Leader Kevin McCarthy is remaining neutral in the runoff.”
Steve Scalise has raised money for John Cowan, Greene’s opponent, and Georgia reps Buddy Carter, Drew Ferguson, Austin Scott, and Rick Allen are actively supporting him, so good for them. Even my congressman, Jody Hice, has broken with his Freedom Caucus and pulled his original endorsement.
But the rest of House leadership and outside money groups are staying away.
The rationale seems to be that since the 14th is rock-solid gop there’s no seat at risk, and who cares if one more nutter comes to town? Let’s see, jade helm, ping pong pizza, Obama as muslim mole–yeah, if Greene wins she’ll find plenty of like-minded souls to play with.
