Northwest Georgia is heavily Republican, so it’s easy to forget there is a Democrat that’s running against Marjorie Greene to replace Congressman Tom Graves in GA-14.
Kevin Van Ausdal was the Democratic nominee for the 14th until today when he released a message indicating that he was withdrawing from the race due to “family and personal reasons.”
It isn’t known if the Democratic Party of Georgia will be able to replace Van Ausdal on the ballot. If they are not able to replace him, then Marjorie Greene’s quest to become the first QAnon-friendly Representative in Congress got a lot easier.
