Recount time in Georgia!
I’m going to enjoy the rest of the day, too pretty outside to worry about politics (at least until dark). Picking up pecans and checking on the bees today.
Stopped in at Houty’s Hoogies a few times while passing through Claxton around lunch time…
It still amazes after 30 plus years of living on and off in the south the difference in Midwestern and Southern Chicken and dumplings.
Bubba McDonald = 50.01%
If nothing else this year should hammer in the importance of voting.
The sore losers are weighing in:
“GA’s handling of this election is embarrassing,” U.S. Rep. Jody Hice, R-Monroe, tweeted. “Two days are gone and we still don’t know the results …. are you kidding? Worse yet, partisan ballots keep appearing. A fair vote & Trump wins, end of story! Stop the fraud!”
“Democrats are trying to steal the election,” said U.S. Rep. Doug Collins, R-Gainesville, who lost a bid for the U.S. Senate in Tuesday’s election and is a close Trump ally.
Marjorie Taylor Greene, who just won a northwest Georgia congressional seat, tweeted: “Every LEGAL vote must be counted. Every ILLEGAL vote must be thrown out and prosecuted. STOP THE STEAL!”
“Democrats are trying to steal the election,” said U.S. Rep. Doug Collins, R-Gainesville, who lost a bid for the U.S. Senate in Tuesday’s election and is a close Trump ally.

Anyone heard of any fraud?
I found Jody Hice’s comment the embarrassment, and I don’t even know him. But the lack of logic is what’s embarrassing: ” A fair vote & Trump wins, end of story! ” As if there is no other possibility in the whole world, much less in a 50/50 choice. But I get it- it’s not meant as a display of logic, but of confidence, and people love that. So now then I’m also appalled bc of what the language is being used for, and what it’s able to do, for the magnification not of confidence but of hate and division.
And Republicans official and election administrators are starting to push back against the notion that they’re corrupt or incompetent. Lt. Gov. acknowledged no significant fraud (or stealing) going on. I see the Trump Rift within the Republican party growing. (“Trump Rift” herein trademarked if not already.)
Joe Biden is the new president! Finally we can take comfort in the fact that the USA will survive. Q-anon can go kiss my donkey. Jody Hice can kiss my donkey. Trump can go to jail. All is right in the world.
“Scoop: President Trump plans to brandish obituaries of people who supposedly voted but are dead — plus hold campaign-style rallies — in an effort to prolong his fight against apparent insurmountable election results, four Trump advisers tell me”
The man is just pitiful right now. Give it up son, you lost.
