As His District Could Lose Billions and 2,600 Jobs, Rep. Collins Focuses on SOS Raffensperger
I will state it plainly that our U.S. Senators and Rep. Doug Collins are barking up the wrong tree with their “calls” and “presses” against Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. They need to come up with some concrete evidence before they start running good people through the mud and tossing around allegations.
I honestly do not understand the fascination with President Trump’s people and Sec. Raffensperger. Rep. Doug Collins and the two Senators have a lot more to be focused on than Sec. Raffensperger, including two runoffs and the idea that Georgia could lose the money and jobs from SK Innovation investment in Jackson County. There is already a lot of pressure on President Trump from LG Chem to stay out of the dispute between the two companies.
Rep. Doug Collins only picked up 40.1% of the vote in Jackson County, which again is in his district, during his failed United States Senate bid. Sen. Loeffler picked up 33.9%.
Rep. Doug Collins:
“As we begin the recount process, there are three things we are formally requesting today from Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger. First, there must be a full comparison of absentee ballots cast and in-person and provisional ballots cast throughout the state. Second, there must be a check for felons and other ineligible persons who may have cast a ballot. Third, and most importantly, the Secretary of State should announce a full hand-count of every ballot cast in each and every county due to widespread allegations of voter irregularities, issues with voting machines, and poll watcher access. We can – and we will – petition for this in court after statewide certification is completed if the Secretary of State fails to act, but we are hopeful he will preemptively take this action today to ensure every Georgian has confidence in our electoral process.”

I’m not surprised at all in Collins. He’s never needed evidence, concrete or otherwise, to support his accusations. He better hope he finds better lawyers than himself to make his petitions.
Perffler have apparently decided that they’ll have turnout problems in the primary unless they keep serving their supporters a constant supply of red meat, and if staying in office means they have to level evidence-free attacks at elected gopers and election workers across the state, that’s OK with them because it’s the best for Amercia.
Lawton, thank you.
I didn’t vote for Raffensperger but he seems to be a principled fellow.
The Wrath of Trump seems to be a very potent force these days. It quickly shows which folks have principles. So far Kemp, Leoffler, Collins, and Perdue have failed at demonstrating any such principles.
I would not work for anyone who tried to force me to condemn another person without any facts.
Jim Galloway talked to Raffensperger yesterday evening:

“Two security officers in business suits had pointed me to Raffensperger’s interior office. There had already been death threats, you see.”
First, what does he mean “full comparison of absentee ballots cast and in-person and provisional ballots cast”? Do provisional ballots in one precinct look the same as the absentee? Or is he suggesting signature matching entirely by the human eye? Poorly written at least.
Second, aren’t voter rolls updated with eligibility issues, including death, already (and regularly)?
Third, and most importantly, I guess we should take at least another month to count 5M votes by hand, at taxpayers expense, in case it takes us beyond the dates required for counties to certify the vote, and force the legislature to choose electors. So transparent. Saddens me. What stage of grief is acceptance?
Dear Mr. Collins,
How about some CREDIBLE allegations first? Even a John Marshall Law School grad should recognize a “When did you stop beating your wife?” scenario. I know that Dear Leader requires no proof prior to flinging this crap (which also accused the Georgia election to be supervised by Democrats), but do you have to jump on the collapsing bandwagon without putting forward any evidence to back any of these claims?
