The hand recount starts today and supposed to be finished a week from now. 8 days to count 5 million ballots. I hope they have enough people.
Should we have a betting pool for if they finish next Friday? The winners get to say, “I told you so!”
I’m an optimist, I think they will get it done.
I heard a mention that state Republican party sent a second letter to SoS last night? If so, and anyone has, would like to read.
Not really sure but it may be referencing the Trump campaign requesting a recount after the hand ballot recount is done. Per Georgia law, that Trump recount will be done by the tabulating machine and not a hand recount.
Here’s a story on the Thursday letter from Collins and Shafer to Raffensperger. Text of letter is attached. It’s about what you would expect, lots of whining about the inadequacies of the recount process. At least they spelled ‘Georgia’ correctly.
