50+ Georgia Veterans Call for Warnock to Drop Out
From the Georgia Republican Party:
Today over 50 Georgia veterans called for Raphael Warnock to drop out of the Georgia Senate race. Earlier this week, uncovered video showed Radical Raphael saying: “America, nobody can serve God and the military.”
Radical Raphael Warnock is facing strong criticism for his anti-American statements, as he has defended Jeremiah Wright’s “God Damn America” Agenda, embraced communist dictator Fidel Castro at his church, and called for America to “repent for its worship of whiteness.”
In a joint statement, the veterans said:
“Raphael Warnock’s comments about military men and women are despicable and flat-out wrong. Here in Georgia, true leaders recognize the service and sacrifice of all who have courageously defended our nation’s freedom. It’s sad to see Raphael Warnock is more interested in insulting and condemning our military than in building communities that support and protect them. We stand together in calling on Raphael Warnock to drop out immediately, and we remain grateful to those who honor our fellow men and women in uniform – and our Creator.”

So how many veterans are in Georgia? So you have 50 Republicans calling for their candidate to be elected. What percentage of Georgia vets is that? 0.001%?
I am a veteran. I will not be voting for Raphael Warnock. But to take one line out of a 20-30 minute sermon from 9 years ago is ridiculous. Read all of Matthew 6, then write a 20-30 minute message on it, and then go back and look critically at what you wrote, and you will probably find something that needs tweeking.
As a side note, David was in the military, and there is no question that David (although imperfect) also served God.
Perdue never served in the military. I looked at his campaign site on his bio and Wikipedia. He started at the Air Force Academy but dropped out.
Perdue never served a minute as an active duty member of the military.
50+? Wow.
50+ Georgia PARTISANS Call for Warnock to Drop Out
FTFY, GaGOP.
Let’s be clear here – When you listen to Warnock’s sermon, it’s consistent with the Evangelical tradition. These partisans, who happen to be vets, are just upset that they are having to ignore the holy spirit in order to maintain face.
“America needs to repent for its worship of whiteness”
Raphael Warnock has a hate problem. He is full of prejudice and anger. Mr. Warnock is unfit for public office. The Georgia Democratic party should be ashamed for promoting such a man, in this crucial election. Control of the US Senate is at stake.
Some say that there are comments taken out of context. That is a just concern. Context is always important. However, there are a lot of videos available. The Historic Ebenezer youtube site has hundreds. Out of concern for my mental health, I have only seen a few. The comment above is not out of character for the other videos I have seen.
Here is the link to the Historic Ebenezer youtube channel.
It would be great for georgiapol commenters to be able to edit comments.
Oh the power of the out of context quote copied and pasted a bazillion times with out of context response. Here are several quotes in context and interpreted by the bastion of fake news, miraculously. Clearly the message was not berating god abiding people who choose service as a career, just those that cherish power over God and service.
“ …Warnock, in a sermon he gave in April 2011 titled “When Truth Meets Power,” called on churchgoers, and America as a whole, to turn away from the pursuit of power and wealth in favor of a life of service.
“America, nobody can serve God and the military,” Warnock said at the time. “You can’t serve God and money. You cannot serve God and mammon (wealth) at the same time. America, choose ye this day who you will serve. Choose ye this day.”
“Politicians try to keep their power. Political parties lie in order to keep their power. And church folk, yeah, you too, maneuver … in order to keep your power and Jesus says, that’s not power. That’s paranoia.”
“Because when you’ve got real power, you’re not worrying about your place in the world. You know how to be exalted and you know how to be abased. You know how to sit high and you know how to sit low and you’re not worried about your place in the world because you’re connected with something that’s greater than you and you’re concerned about something that’s greater than yourself.”
“When you have real power, Jesus says that you’ll lay it down so that somebody else can have some power. Real power will lay itself down on behalf of the powerless,” Warnock added.”

50 people responding to a quote taken out of context for political reasons is news?
