Gov. Kemp is Working for Georgia, Not Hiding
First and foremost, for those that are saying that Governor Brian Kemp is “hiding,” please understand it is time to start looking at facts and stop listening to Lin Wood.
Governor Kemp has made several big announcements this past week about Georgia:
- October’s unemployment rate dropped 1.8% to 4.5%, which is ahead of the national average and a drop by almost 8% since April, 2020.
- Georgia was named the No. 1 State for Business by Site Selection Magazine for a record-breaking eighth consecutive year.
- The Georgia Department of Economic Development announced that, “from the start of the new fiscal year to the end of October, Georgia announced the creation of more than 11,800 jobs and over $4.3 billion in new investment, outpacing the same period last year by 45% in jobs and 56% in investment.”
- Investments in Georgia by Dongwon Tech Coporation, MasterBrand Cabinets, and Silicon Ranch.
Governor Brian P. Kemp:
“Thanks to our measured approach to the pandemic, fighting for people and their paychecks, Georgia continues to lead the nation in economic recovery as the fight with COVID-19 continues. As the No. 1 State for Business eight years in a row, we’ve been able to avoid draconian budget cuts, secure our AAA bond rating, and ensure a safe return to work for countless Georgians in every corner of the Peach State.
This is great news, but we will not rest on our laurels. To build on our momentum, we need all Georgians to remain vigilant and continue to follow best practices to stop the spread of the virus: wear a mask, wash your hands, socially distance, follow the guidance of public health officials, and get your flu shot if you have not done so already. These simple measures will go a long way in keeping our state healthy and on the right track as we head into a busy holiday season. We are still facing down a once-in-a-century global pandemic, and we will do what it takes to protect lives and livelihoods and ensure Georgia’s safest, healthiest, and most prosperous days lie ahead.”

It’s not us commie/pinko/Maoist/socialist/liberals, it is “King” Trump and his allies:
“THENS, Georgia — As Georgia Republicans struggle with a growing identity crisis, one leader who has largely stayed out of the fray has been the state’s top elected Republican: Gov. Brian Kemp.
Kemp, who is expected to run for reelection in 2022, has stood by as President Trump and his allies have attacked the integrity of Georgia’s elections and its new $100 million voting system. He’s also kept quiet when Trump launched Twitter broadsides at him and Brad Raffensperger, Georgia’s Republican secretary of state. When the president came after his lieutenant governor, Kemp let the character assassination fly.
Late Tuesday, Trump mocked Kemp’s sliding approval rating.
“Wow! Governor Kemp will hopefully see the light before it is too late. Must finally take charge!” Trump tweeted.”

I appreciate the fact he is staying out of it but I do chastise him for letting Trump, et al impugn Raffensperger and Geoff Duncan without any defense on his part. I’m thinking about “have your cake and eat it too”.
Kemp doesn’t have any leadership abilities. You can’t expect someone to do something that is completely beyond them.
