US Senators Perdue And Loeffler Support President Trump’s Recount Request
Georgia’s election was certified on Friday. Not long after that, the Trump campaign made it known that they were planning to request a recount. Both of Georgia’s US Senators have expressed support of the Trump campaign’s request.
From Senator David Perdue’s office:
“I support President Trump’s request for a recount in Georgia, one in which signatures on absentee ballot envelopes are properly matched and verified to their signature on the registration. Anything less than that will not be a full and transparent recount. I have spoken to President Trump several times in the last week about this, and as I have said from the beginning: every legal vote cast, should be counted. Any illegal vote shouldn’t. Georgians deserve full transparency and uniformity in the counting process.”
From Senator Kelly Loeffler’s office:
“I fully support President Trump’s request for a recount in Georgia. We must match and verify absentee ballot signatures to their corresponding voter registration signatures, investigate all voting irregularities, and count only the votes that were legally cast.
This isn’t about politics – this is about the foundation of our democracy. Every Georgian – and every American – deserves to have confidence in the integrity of our state’s election results, and this process is the best way to make that happen.”

Do Perffler understand that the recount has nothing to do with matching signatures? Do they care that every vote will run through the same scanners that were a) recently validated and b) used in the original vote count, and so will report unchanged results? Will they keep up their Trumpish whining until January 5 and beyond?
I’d say probably, no, and hell yes.
Shouldn’t Senators have some basic knowledge of elections procedures? I believe most people know that absentee ballots are removed from their envelopes once the voter is verified. Nothing on the actual ballot identifies who cast that ballot. At that point no one can ever match up a single ballot back to an individual voter. Idiots.
Just a little while ago:
“Sidney Powell is practicing law on her own. She is not a member of the Trump Legal Team. She is also not a lawyer for the President in his personal capacity.”

Yesterday:
“Trump campaign lawyer Sidney Powell listed a slew of allegations of fraud during an interview on Newsmax TV on Saturday. Powell alleged that Republican Georgia Gov. Brian Kemp may have been involved in kickbacks to public officials but gave no details.
“Sidney Powell accusing Governor Brian Kemp of a crime on television yet being on unwilling to go on TV and defend and lay out the evidence that she supposedly has” is “outrageous conduct,” Christie said.
The former governor and federal prosecutor slammed Trump’s legal team as a “national embarrassment.”

Clown shoes Republicans, time to bring the crazy dog to heel and quit embarrassing yourself.
Sidney Powell stood shoulder to shoulder with Rudy last week while he praised the “elite legal team” he had brought with him. Some say she must have submitted a bill for her services to be fired so abruptly.
Buh.
I’m a feminist through and through and voted for Loeffler because I want more women in office but dadgum she keeps doubling down on Trump.
I’ve rallied for Republican women in office for decades but we get Trump Cheerleader Kelly and Batsht Crazy Margorie?? Seriously?
gd. Killin’ me, smalls.
Do I want a Democratic Senate – no, but Cobb County is going to slimly come in for Ossoff and Warnock.
And it won’t even be because of the outside influence; it’s because of this bs.
I tend to think that even the ads that are running are working against them, because of fatigue with over-the-top hyperbole.
