GA SOS Re-Certifies Election and “Kraken” Case Dismissed
From the Office of Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger:
Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger today recertified the results of the November 3, 2020 presidential election. The recertification came following an audit-triggered hand recount and a formal recount requested by the Trump campaign. Both recounts upheld the original outcome of the race. The certified results of state and federal races can be found on the Secretary of State’s website: sos.ga.gov.
Also this morning, the “Kraken” lawsuit launched by former Trump lawyer Sidney Powell was dismissed by judge of the United States District Court of the Northern District of Georgia Timothy Batten.
“Today is an important day for election integrity in Georgia and across the country,” said Secretary Raffensperger. “The claims in the Kraken lawsuit prove to be as mythological as the creature for which they’re named. Georgians can now move forward knowing that their votes, and only their legal votes, were counted accurately, fairly, and reliably.”
In recertifying the results, the Secretary of State affirmed that all 159 counties have provided to the state the total votes tabulated for presidential candidates in the November 3, 2020 presidential election. Further, the Secretary of State affirms that the statewide consolidated returns for the presidential election are a true and correct tabulation of the certified returns received by this office from each county.

A Bush judge Batten throws out the Kraken. Maybe we would of been better off filing with an Obama Judges, it seemed to work better for Abrams.
Perhaps since all the judges in all but one of the lawsuits denied the plaintiffs since the election, there is nothing to all these lawsuits? And some denials are from judges appointed by Trump.
Maybe, just maybe Trump raised all this fuss so he could sock away some big bucks. Unless you donated over $1800 to the “Legal Defense Fund” , half of it went to Trump’s PAC and the other half went to the national Republican committee.
It sounds like a big fraud to me. You rake in millions of dollars (over 200 million) and your lawyers lose every case except one which was inconsequential.
Trump is like the Falcons, they both lose in the big games.
I can recall dozens, if not hundreds of times that righty commenters in the forum and the other site have decried “activist judges”. Something this judge explicitly stated he was being asked to do by Trump’s attorneys. Any judge regardless of political bias has to have real evidence put before them or the case will die in the guaranteed appeals.
The state’s attorneys said it better than I can:
“Much like the mythological ‘kraken’ monster after which plaintiffs have named this lawsuit, their claims of election fraud and malfeasance belong more to the kraken’s realm of mythos than they do to reality.”
