Pretty good article:
“Dems lead in voter registration, GOP in turnout. And we may have Krakens
Georgia politics has long been the best free show in town, probably never more so than during this year’s extended 2020-2021 general election season. So far we’ve been treated not just to a Democratic Party presidential candidate winning the state for the first time in this millennium, but to the formation of an ever-expanding circular firing squad by the state’s Republican Party that seems obsessed with the notion that its own party leaders, including GOP Governor Brian Kemp and Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger, conspired with the late Hugo Chavez and others to rig Georgia’s election in favor of the above-referenced Democratic presidential candidate, Joe Biden. Also, Rudy Giuliani has been to town. And, apparently, there’s a Kraken in the mix.”

Delusional Donald and his sycophants are starting to cause me some real worry. With the threats to our democracy that are being tweeted multiple times daily along with his Valdosta “rally” comments, I think the level of concern this close to the transition and the Senate runoffs is damaging to our state, his own party and the country as a whole. He is now promising another rally in DC on Biden’s inauguration day. His Valdosta “rally” was more about himself and his delusions than about getting two Republican senators elected with the lie that he actually won the election repeated ad nauseam.
The article you’ve linked with the SurveyUSA poll is clear that the runoff is going to be just as competitive as the General and the Republicans are in danger if they don’t shed themselves of this populist monster they have been enabling. Some of them apparently are, as in this quote from one of Teresa’s links:
Gabriel Sterling, who’s in charge of implementing Georgia’s voting system, said on NBC’s “Meet the Press” Trump is inciting unrest. “The president’s statements are false. They’re disinformation. They are stoking anger and fear among his supporters. And hell, I voted for him. The situation’s getting much worse and it’s an environment that’s been built out over years,” Sterling said.
Yet even after all this in the debate last night Senator Loeffler couldn’t bring herself to answer the yes/no question on her view of Biden’s victory. I suppose she still doesn’t want to alienate the rabid Trumpistas. As an example look at the idiotic comments below this Washington Post compilation of comments by our Lt. Governor, SoS Raffensperger, and Mr. Sterling:
In not wanting to offend these cultists she is insulting the intelligence of many of the rest of us. Republicans win Georgia runoffs due to turnout. Disincentivising the non-delusionals to turnout is not the way to proceed.

Federal judges in PA and GA rejected the suits brought by Sidney Powell.
Trump is rumored to be going to Florida Christmas week. Some folks suggest he will not return to DC. A month ago Michael Cohen said Trump would probably do this.
“Between rapidly approaching deadlines, Giuliani being hospitalized and a string of court losses, there is a sense developing internally that the Trump legal team’s efforts are coming to a close, according to multiple people. Fewer calls, meetings happening, etc.”

Why don’t we leave the archaic art of signature comparison and even photo ID requirements behind and boldly go where no man has gone before. Nah, not space but how about a Star Trek-like handheld DNA “Tricorder” to guarantee voter identifications?

Absentee voters could just spit on their ballot. 😈
