Good afternoon! I started loading these up early this morning, but life.

- More updated COVID numbers for Georgia, and bad news for the Georgia Senators who were forced to share air with Giuliani at last Thursday’s hearing.
- The inside baseball behind the the pushback the Trump election crusaders are getting from some in the GAGOP.

If you think the Presidential election this year was something, the start of the new United States saw some pretty bad elections.
I have been listening to a podcast named “American Elections: The Wicked Game” recently. Once Washington finished his second term, all bets were off in American politics .
These folks libeled each other, spread false stories, stoked fear, had duels, made secret deals, and sabotaged each other’s campaign. America had several elections when only one party nominated someone for President. We also had an election with five viable candidates. I’ve only gotten to 1828 but the first 30 years of American politics was brutal.
The podcast is available on Apple, Google, Stitcher, and numerous other podcast sources.

Texas has a big nose and they are showing their other end as well.
“The state of Texas sued Georgia and three other states Tuesday in an effort to persuade the U.S. Supreme Court to throw out election results that showed Democrat Joe Biden won the most votes.
The case is a longshot attempt to overturn Georgia’s elections after counts and recounts showed that Biden defeated Trump by about 12,000 votes. Secretary of State Brad Raffensperger and Gov. Brian Kemp, both Republicans, certified Georgia’s election results Monday…
“With all due respect, the Texas attorney general is constitutionally, legally and factually wrong about Georgia,” said Katie Byrd, spokeswoman for Republican Georgia Attorney General Chris Carr…”

Well, Ken Paxton (the AG of Texas) has some pending state charges and may have exposure to federal charges. Some say he is fishing for a pardon for any possible federal charges.
“Paxton is facing state securities fraud charges relating to his actions before taking office. The Associated Press also reported last month that he was under FBI investigation for allegedly intervening in legal matters on behalf of a major campaign contributor. Paxton has denied wrongdoing.”
