Ligon, Beach, and Jones circulated the petition to have the lege name their own electors, then lost their jobs. Payback? How about other ex-chairs?
I love this:
““These committee chairs are uniquely qualified to develop real and lasting solutions aimed at building a better Georgia. The Senate will continue to prioritize diligent committee work and sound public policy, and I look forward to working closely with each one of our chairs, and their committee members, as we work to enact policies that advance both the lives and livelihoods of all Georgians.”
Well if they are advancing lives, why this:
“Two weeks ago, with cases ballooning, Gov. Brian Kemp announced that the group eligible for vaccination would expand beyond health care workers and nursing home residents and staff to include all those age 65 or older. There are 1.5 million such people in Georgia. But the entire state so far has received only 556,000 doses, not enough to vaccinate even the original group when vaccinations launched.”
Sounds like typical Republican efficiency to me. I bet all the state officials got the vaccine, probably the second dose as well. They’re not advancing live, they are advancing their careers and immune systems at the same time.
