It was on this date in 1986 that the Treasury Department announced that a clear, polyester thread was to be woven into bills in an effort to thwart counterfeiters. And, on an unrelated note, it also happens to be National Sloppy Joe Day.

ugh, we had sloppy joe’s monday night…if i had known i’d have waited til tonite…
The last sloppy joe I had, Nixon still walked the earth. I see no reason to end my abstinence just because it’s their day. However, the idea of messy hand food has put me in mind of a couple of chili dogs with lots of onion and hot sauce.

The early reviews of that religiously conflicted incel who killed eight (allegedly, of course) add another data point in support of the formula that black murderers are thugs, Islamic murderers are terrorists, and white murderers are sick. He’s ‘addicted’, had a ‘bad day’. Not as bad as some, unfortunately.
Kemp sure is coming through for us, isn’t he? What a useless governor.
“ATLANTA – Health experts say Georgia’s failure to open mass vaccination sites earlier and relatively slow expansion of eligibility for the shots are to blame in part for the state’s dismal COVID-19 inoculation rate.
According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, Georgia ranks last among states in the percentage of its adult population that has received at least one dose.”
