Regarding the goper pilgrimage to Arizona to observe the joke audit first-hand, I can’t blame Shafer because that kind of stunt is part of his job description. Jones wanted to criminalize demonstrators he didn’t agree with even before he got on the Trump train so it’s no shock to see him in the desert either.
But wth has happened to Brandon Beach? He always struck me as a reasonable and responsible sort, basically a pragmatic chamber of commerce republican, but he’s morphed into the worst kind of fantasist, voting to deny election results, trying to get the lege to unseat electors, now supporting the Arizona mouth-breathers.
They all claim to want fair elections and say the key point is election transparency when it really should be voter confidence, which by their actions and statements they are doing their best to destroy, all the while offering zero facts to support their views. They’re either criminally cynical or deeply stupid, and I don’t know which is worse.
