Stacey Abrams Running for GA Governor; Republican Governors Association Responds

As Stacey Abrams has thrown the proverbial hat back in the ring as a Democratic candidate for Governor, the Republican Governors Association has gone on the attack:
“Stacey Abrams is once again using Georgia to boost her own star while she plots a path toward her real career goal: President of the United States,” said RGA Spokesperson Maddie Anderson. “Abrams stands firmly on the side of the woke activists who cost Georgia millions in revenue all because Governor Brian Kemp made it a priority to protect lives and livelihoods, keep kids in school and in the classroom, let businesses stay open and grow their workforce, and make it easier to vote and harder to cheat. Over the past four years, Governor Kemp has exhibited courageous leadership for Georgians and guided his state through a turbulent time. Stacey Abrams spent her time touring the country in search of fame and fortune. The RGA looks forward to ensuring Abrams is once again soundly defeated.”
Governor Brian Kemp (R) has weighed in as well:
“With Stacey Abrams in control, Georgia would have shut down, students would have been barred from their classrooms, and woke politics would be the law of the land and the lesson plan in our schools. Her far-left agenda of open borders, gun confiscation, high taxes, and anti-law enforcement policies don’t reflect who we are as Georgians.
Stacey’s never-ending campaign for power has already hurt Georgia businesses and cost our state millions – all in service to her ultimate ambition of becoming President of the United States. Next November’s election for Governor is a battle for the soul of our state.
I’m in the fight against Stacey Abrams, the failed Biden agenda, and their woke allies to keep Georgia the best place to live, work, and raise a family.”
Vernon Jones’ Party candidate Vernon Jones shared the following:
“Today, Stacey Abrams joined the race for Governor with plans to introduce the same failed, liberal agenda in Georgia that is hurting Americans in every corner of the country.
Radical leftists like Stacey Abrams are why I left the Democrat Party, and the last thing I will allow them to take is our beloved state. That is why I am running for Governor.
In 2018, Brian Kemp defeated Stacey Abrams by the skin of his teeth. And in 2020, he betrayed us.
In 2022, we cannot afford to cut it so close. I am the only candidate in the race for Governor who can grow the party, defeat Stacey Abrams, and Take Georgia Back”.
Republican candidate Kandiss Taylor took to Twitter:

Across the board, I don’t think “woke” is the insult they want it to be.
And for the RGA statement “woke activists who cost Georgia millions in revenue all because Governor Brian Kemp made it a priority to protect lives”. Read that again – slowly.

“In 2015, Kemp’s office erroneously distributed the Social Security numbers and dates of birth of registered Georgia voters. During the 2016 election, Kemp was the only state official to reject help from the Department of Homeland Security to guard against Russian interference. Kemp also encountered criticism from voting rights advocates; from 2012 to 2018, Kemp’s office cancelled more than 1.4 million voter registrations, and during the 2018 election, Kemp held up more than 53,000 voter registration applications, with nearly 70% of the voter registrations belonging to African Americans.[3] In 2018, Kemp was a candidate for governor where he faced Democratic nominee Stacey Abrams. Kemp refused to resign as secretary of state while campaigning for governor, which stirred controversy and accusations of abuse of power. Following the general election on November 6, Kemp was declared the winner with 50.2% of the vote. Abrams suspended her campaign on November 16 while maintaining that she believed he engaged in unfounded voter suppression.[4]

RGA and Bry are scared because they know Stacy won the first time, despite overseeing his own election. But these folks also care about election integrity lol.

No idea what her salary may be, but no doubt it’s too much.

Anyone know which governor’s wife, daughter, niece, etc. she happens to be ?
Anderson formerly worked for Elise Stefanik but was dumped for someone trumpier when Stefanik took over from Liz Cheney as conference chair.
Don’t be too hard on Anderson. She’s just a kid trying to get ahead in the world of political messaging. There’s maybe a million just like her.
