Rep Gerald Greene Hospitalized After Robbery

Aaron Sheinin of the AJC is reporting that State Representative Gerald Greene (R-Cuthbert) is recovering after being shot during a robbery in Columbus today.  It appears Greene was a customer at a convenience store when the robbery occurred.  Representative Greene was shot in the leg. South Georgia Hit Hard By Tornadoes; More Severe Weather Expected Statewide Today

We’ve already experienced a day and a half of severe thunderstorms throughout Georgia. More severe weather including tornadoes are expected today through early evening. At least 11 Georgians are reported dead in last night’s storms. With daylight we’re getting the first look at damage of strong tornadoes that hit deep in South Georgia last night.
