With less than 10% of the voting public exercising their right to be heard, it appears that Philip Singleton has won the special election for House District 71, scraping by Marcy Westmoreland Sakrison with a 770 vote difference. The seat was vacated by Rep. David Stover who resigned to spend more time with his family.
